Email sent May 26, 2000 from Uganda from Brother Mike Foley

Greetings from Kampala.

I was in Nimule for a short visit and handed over the funds you sent.  The pastor was most grateful as their needs are great.

Suggestions for the use of the funds included: school fees (there were a large number of students coming from Uganda seeking some assistance with their fees - about $10 per term - but still difficult for them to find); assistance to the parish which was bombed two months ago; assistance to the nursery school program, which is currently experiencing some difficulty.  There are lots of other needs, but it is up to the parish council to establish priorities.

Over the next few days, I will send a few pictures.  Also included is a copy of the receipt given by Pastor Jacob Chol.  Jacob is an old friend as he is also the headmaster of the ECS school which we assist.

Mike
